Associate Wealth Advisor
I add value for our clients by actually listening. Being an advisor forced me [mostly] out of my old habit of talking too much. If the goal is giving the most suitable financial advice, of upmost importance is discerning exactly what my client is communicating, and understanding it in the context of not just their accounts at our firm, but in the context of their life and aspirations. Accompanying that goal with cutting-edge investment strategies, helpful client service, and the wisdom of our founder, Bob, and alliance partners allows me to bring the most value for my clients.
I graduated with a BBA in Finance from Texas State University. While there, I was selected to manage a portion of the University’s $20 million endowment fund as a participant in the Student Managed Investment Fund. I joined Wise Counsel in 2011 shortly after graduation, where I assisted Bob as para-planner and engaged in all facets of the firm’s operations while working to attain federal and state security and insurance licenses.
I’ve been fortunate to work on many client plans the past five years and learn by doing under Bob Huntley’s mentorship. As a result, I’ve been able to build a strong foundation of wealth management and financial planning knowledge. I’m now an Associate Wealth Advisor with the firm serving clients as a lead advisor and still assisting with all firm clients as needed since we use a team approach at the firm.
A few things that bring me joy are my blue heeler (Ryder), rock climbing, Formula 1 racing, mountain biking, wrenching on my car and hill country drives, Austin’s music scene/concerts, wakeboarding, leading a service team at my church, being anywhere outside, the craft of beer making and, of course, being around friends.
