Update on current market volatility:

We’re in the midst of normal market volatility but we understand it still feels scary. This post is a reminder of the importance of staying grounded and unemotional during these periods where stocks sell off and headlines run hot. The price of returns over the long term is just this sort of temporary volatility. That’s always been the case.

The  piece below from our investment team titled “5 Tips For Surviving a Market Downturn”summarizes the current situation. I recommend you read through it and consider the points made. If you need to talk about any of this, please give us a call. We are here for you as a source of advice and counsel. We see nothing out of the ordinary at this time to respond to unless your circumstances have changed. If that’s the case, then we should discuss what’s changed on your end and update your specific portfolio to reflect your new situation. Otherwise, our portfolios are built with volatility like this in mind. No changes would otherwise be needed.

If you know someone who’s fearful right now and needs help with their investments, we are available to speak with them. Just forward them this notice so they’ll know how to contact us.
